June 7, 2009. We made it safely to Santiago on time. 30 minutes before landing, while on approach around 6:45 am, I (Rick) had an amazing view of the dawn starting to rise over the Andes. The best part was seeing Mt. Aconcagua rising 22,841 ft. against the dawn. WOW. Esther had an equally wonderful of the Chilean coast line and mystery fog banks shrouding the coastal valleys. FYI $131.00 U.S. to get into Chile. They call it a "Reciprocity Fee", but it does cover the life of your passport. Guess we'll just have to go back.Sunday, June 7, 2009
